BRAD PAISLEY: He Sees Dead People

Well, it’s not really something out of The Sixth Sense, but Brad Paisley says there’s a little cemetery on his property, and he finds that passing the memorials of two long-ago residents evokes a sense of history for him — past, present, and future — of how things change, and what will things be like long after another generation comes along. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • Right now, Brad is rockin’ with a future of another variety, with his latest smash, “Welcome to the Future,” the second huge hit from his American Saturday Night album.
  • And in the immediate future, don’t miss Brad as he performs on the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday!

BRAD PAISLEY: He Sees Dead People  Brad Paisley finds thoughts of the past inspiring thoughts of the future. (:39)
“I got, you know, a farm, and as I jog, I jog past this little graveyard where people are buried that died in 1916: the Crenshaws that lived on the property. The only people that lived there, as far as I know back then. And it’s just a husband and wife buried there, and there’s a little tombstone and a little rock wall around it. And I think to myself, a hundred…that’s almost a hundred years ago that they were buried. Let alone when they…they were sixty, seventy years old when they died. I mean, what…a hundred years from now, what is this farm gonna look like? I certainly won’t still be here. And weird to think about, you know? What’s gonna…where are we all headed?”
