BRAD PAISLEY: Get Free Music from Brad…Beginning TODAY!

Last week, Brad Paisley delivered the exciting news that not only will he have a new album, called This Is Country Music, set for release on April 19th, but that beginning TODAY, December 13th, and for one week through December 20th, he’s giving away a free digital download of the title track, his new hit single, “This Is Country Music.” Anyone can go to the website — www.ThisIsCountryMusic.com — and it’s FREE! Brad really wanted to do this, and he’s thrilled to be able to offer the weeklong download because, he says, “This is a song about country music. It’s a song about how much this format means — and this style of music means — to people, how much it mirrors their lives. And the fact that the fans have allowed me to be able to do this for a living, it’s my gift to them.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

While on the website, you’ll also have the option to pre-order Brad’s upcoming album, in digital or physical form, at a limited-time special price. Any pre-orders on the site will also entitle you to periodic exclusive content, which might include early listens to new music or video greetings from Brad prior to the album’s April release date.

If you miss the free download week — but don’t let that happen! — you’ll still be able to get an immediate download of the song, “This Is Country Music,” with an album pre-order. You could also buy it when it goes on sale as a digital single, beginning December 21st, at participating digital music retailers, as well as on ThisIsCountryMusic.com.

For anyone who takes advantage of the album pre-order, Brad says it’ll be a fun kind of pressure for him to know that fans are already committing to buy the album — while he’s still making it! But for all of us who know Brad’s music and the great albums he’s done in the past — and that little accomplishment of 18 number-one singles and 14 in a row — well, we can rest assured that when the CMA Entertainer of the Year says he’s really excited about how his new album is coming together, there’ll be another winner from Brad Paisley coming next April. BRAD PAISLEY: Get Free Music from Brad…Beginning TODAY!  Brad Paisley talks about the free download of his latest single at ThisIsCountryMusic.com. (:20)
“It’s exciting for me to be able to do this, is we’re gonna give this song away for one week. You can go to ThisIsCountryMusic.com, and it’s free! It’s free for one whole week. You can go on there, and there’s no obligation other than signin’ up and gettin’ it delivered to your mailbox, and it’s yours.”

BRAD PAISLEY: Get Free Music from Brad…Beginning TODAY!  Brad Paisley explains the idea behind the free download. (:24)
“I wanted to do this. This is a song about country music. It’s a song about how much this format means — and this style of music means — to people, how much it mirrors their lives. And the fact that the fans have allowed me to be able to do this for a living, it’s my gift to them — I guess, right here before Christmas — to be able to say, ‘You don’t even have to pay me for this. This is for you.'”

BRAD PAISLEY: Get Free Music from Brad…Beginning TODAY!  Brad Paisley says that the free download seems right in keeping with the idea behind his song, “This Is Country Music.” (:52)
“The song itself is really something that deals with the fact that country music is about, in some ways, giving back to its fans by giving them a voice, by giving them a chance to find a song about something they’re going through in their life, whether that’s an illness or a heartbreak or going and, you know, patriotism and these things that we’re so known for, you know? Even spirituality and the stuff that country music has no problem speaking its mind about, fans find a mirror to their lives in it when they hear it. So, I want those very people that are that moved by not only the type of music that we all sing on these radio stations, but the song itself, I want them to be able to just go get it for free in these times.”

BRAD PAISLEY: Get Free Music from Brad…Beginning TODAY!  Brad Paisley says that ThisIsCountryMusic.com is taking pre-orders for his new album — while he’s still making it — and he loves that kind of pressure. (1:04)
“The other thing we’re able to do by takin’ out our own website, with ThisIsCountryMusic.com, and sellin’ this, is I’m able to sell you this album while I’m still making it. It’s like when you go and you hear somebody, like if Chevy says we’re unveiling a new Corvette, and it’s not out ’til next year but we’re taking orders, that’s what we’re doing. We’re still designing this Corvette for you, and I’m havin’ the best time I can possibly have writing and recording this album. I wrote two songs yesterday, for this, and people are already gonna be buying it while I’m…and that’s the kind of pressure that’s really fun for me. To think about the fact that we’re making this album, we’re busy in the studio, and people have already lined up and committed to purchasing it, that’s different for me. It’s nice. It’s fun. It’s like sellin’ tickets to the show you haven’t done yet. And I’m really excited because it is turning out great. I couldn’t be happier with what we’ve done. I think people who like country music, who like what I do…this is gonna be right up their alley.”

BRAD PAISLEY: Get Free Music from Brad…Beginning TODAY!  Brad Paisley says that he is incredibly excited about the song, “This Is Country Music,” and about the new album to come. (:39)
“After the CMA Awards, when I went back to talk to the press, I talked about how excited I was about the song, ‘This Is Country Music,’ being the first track that we released off this album. And a month later now, here we are busy in the studio and starting to put the finishing touches on what is gonna become an album called This Is Country Music. And I’m really excited about it. I feel very, very proud of what we’ve done already, and I didn’t think I could be more excited than I was that night after we debuted the song, and it did so well, but here I am, you know, gettin’ more and more geared up.”
