“Hey, it’s Ben Goldsmith, I wrote Blown Away with Bobby Bare Jr, who was one of the first people I wrote a song with. And pretty much Bobby came in with a melody and kind of had a Roy Orbison Beatle-y thing about it. And it really intrigued me. So we went with that. And we kind of wrote the song from the perspective of a heartbroken teenager who kind of lost the girl so I hope you like it. It’s one of my favorite cuts on the album. Thanks for listening to it.”
