Adam Doleac “Close That Tab” (STORY AUDIO)
The story behind Close That Tab is I hate to say it, but I see a lot of girls just dating the wrong guy. They’re dating guys that just aren’t good enough for them. And everybody in their life knows it except them and they just refuse to break up with them. They say they’re gonna do it, but they keep walking back in the bar with the same guy. And I got tired of looking at it and I eventually wrote a song about it, Close That Tab, and it’s just my opinion, I think you should Close That Tab.

“Hey what’s up it’s Adam Doleac and that was my song Close That Tab.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Arista Nashville/Sony Music Nashville rising star Adam Doleac debuted a new song today, “Close That Tab.” The song is off his upcoming album, Barstool Whiskey Wonderland, arriving Sept. 30. Pre-add/order/save the album and listen to “Close That Tab” here.

Written by Doleac along with Zach Abend and Derrick Southerland, the song is known by his fans as the “watered down vodka soda song,” from the hooky line “Everybody and your momma told ya / He’s a watered-down vodka soda.”

“Close That Tab” is one of 18 songs off his debut album, Barstool Whiskey Wonderland, releasing next month. With this project, Adam proves the old adage of Nashville being a 10-year town, as it arrives nearly a decade after moving to Music City from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He made the clock work for him though, and throughout his time in Nashville he has created a whole “Barstool Whiskey Wonderland” of addictive tracks – almost totally from his own pen.

With the project, Adam unveils a vision steeped in the romantic country soul of his early hits, while going much deeper as well. With tracks like the Gold-certified “Famous” and first-dance favorite “Another,” both of which hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway, fans have gotten only a glimpse of that wonderland so far. With Barstool Whiskey Wonderland, they get the full picture.

Fans can catch Doleac performing “Close That Tab” and other songs off his upcoming album in various cities across the country in the coming months. The singer plans to announce a headlining tour in support of Barstool Whiskey Wonderland later this summer.
