Jameson Rodgers: What’s up guys, hope y’all are having a good Sunday. I’ve been down in my hometown of Batesville, Mississippi this weekend. I’m driving back to Nashville, I feel like I’ve made this trip 1,000 times over the last 10 years, but this time this morning is a little different. Woke up with the news that we’ve got the #1 song in country music, which is- It doesn’t even seem real, hard to even explain the feeling. I moved to town 10 years ago to chase this dream of mine, and man what a ride, what a journey it’s been. Country radio- Thank you guys and girls so much for believing in this song, believing in me, and playing this song for the last year, year and a half. What a journey man, thank y’all so much for the support. Y’all literally have made a dream come true, can’t thank y’all enough. To the fans and everybody that’s streamed the song, bought this song, sang this sonLg at a show- ove you guys so much, can’t wait to get back out and play it for you live. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And to my team in Nashville, I’m not going to name everybody because I’m scared I’ll leave somebody off on accident, but you know who you are- Love you guys so much, definitely wouldn’t happen without you. Man, it’s time to celebrate. Love all you guys, have a good Sunday, and here’s to many more. Peace.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jameson Rodgers is celebrating his first No. 1 single as an artist, as his debut single “Some Girls” tops the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts.

“When I moved to Nashville in 2010, I had a dream. I’m living my dream right now thanks to country radio, amazing fans and the best team any artist could ask for,” said Rodgers “I just feel so blessed for the opportunity and look forward to hopefully many more.”

“Some Girls” is the first solo male debut single to top the charts in one year. With a 49-week run, “Some Girls” has set a new record for the longest climb to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart for a debut single. Rodgers recently received GOLD certification for the track, and performed on NBC’s “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.” The 2020 MusicRow Discovery Artist of the Year topped the all-genre Billboard Emerging Artist chart last week, only the fifth country artist to do so this year, and “Some Girls” entered Top 40 territory on the illustrious Hot 100 chart.

“Some Girls” has been celebrated by critics, with Rolling Stone lauding the track as “a mix of masculine rock grit, country storytelling, quick-hitting vocals and tasty electro-pop accents,” and MusicRow echoing “The snarling electric guitar work and pounding rhythm in the production match the “edge” in his performance.” The track has earned more than 115 million on-demand streams.

About Jameson Rodgers: Mississippi-raised former college baseball player Jameson Rodgers has earned a reputation as “a newcomer to watch in 2020” (Taste of Country ) with his No. 1 debut single “Some Girls,” the first solo male debut to top the charts this year. Written by HARDY, Jake Mitchell and C.J. Solar, the Gold-certified “Some Girls” was Rodgers’ first single released to country radio since signing a label deal as a partnership between River House Artists and Columbia Nashville.  Initially making his mark on Music City as a behind-the-scenes songwriter, Rodgers has co-penned Platinum-selling hits for Florida Georgia Line (Top 10 single “Talk You Out of It”) and Chris Lane (No. 1 smash “I Don’t Know About You”), along with “Camouflage Hat” on Jason Aldean’s most recent album 9 and the title track of Luke Bryan’s latest release Born Here Live Here Die Here. The 2020 MusicRow Discovery Artist of the Year has released two independent EPs, which together have amassed more than 184 million on-demand streams. Rodgers spent 2019 supporting Luke Combs on his BEER NEVER BROKE MY HEART TOUR, playing more than 60 arenas and amphitheaters, and is working on his debut full-length album with producers Mickey Jack Cones, Chris Farren, and Jake Mitchell.
