Story Behind the Song “Crazy”

So “Crazy” came about when I was on the way to a write and I kind of had this idea of starting a song kind of really slow and almost like making it operatic, and then it kind of going to this like really big, fast jam R&B song. I gave the idea to Peter Fenn, the writer I worked with, and we ended up, I was sitting on his piano just kind of banging away, and I was just humming you making me crazy, making me lose my mind. We were talking about Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles and all these artists we loved and we wrote “Crazy” that day.
