KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE “HEAVENLY” (Audio & Video)
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sony Music Nashville’s shining newcomer Karley Scott Collins released her debut song, “Heavenly.” Listen HERE and watch the accompanying visual HERE.
“It means everything to me to get my music out into the world. It’s the product of years going through journal after journal and breaking guitar strings,” Karley said. “I’m thrilled that ‘Heavenly’ is the song that will introduce my music to the world.”
Karley wrote “Heavenly” alongside award-winning producer Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift, Keith Urban). With lyrics like “you make all my demons want a halo” and “you turn my sad songs into hallelujahs,” the track is an evocative ode to love that heals, singing praises to a relationship that overwrites the past. Many of the images Karley sings of are reflected in the cover art, which she hand-painted.
“I think everyone has been through relationships that bring out the worst in you,” Karley said. “‘Heavenly’ is about the relationship that changes everything. It’s what I hope to have one day.”
The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who is also signed to Warner Chappell Music, moved from her hometown of Lake City, Florida to Nashville three years ago, armed with words and melodies she’s been collecting and writing for nearly a decade. A multifaceted artist, Karley grew up listening to metal bands such as Guns N’ Roses and Alice in Chains with her dad on her way to elementary school, idolizing Bob Dylan, and immersing herself in novels by the likes of Cormac McCarthy.
Karley’s artistic depth is tempered with youthful wonder and her rich, power-house voice. At their focal points, her songs are diary-ripped lyrics wrapped in lush instrumentation neatly folding in her myriad of wide-ranging influences including The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Leonard Cohen, and Willie.
