“Leave This Bar,” it’s just about getting fixed up, go out and hopefully take it all off later with somebody else. Although I personally just like to go to the waffle house when I’m leaving the bar. I wrote it with one of my songwriting heroes Mr. Tim Nichols. He wrote, “I’m Over You” for Keith Whitley, but he came in with this idea. And Brandon got on that great guitar riff and, Lord sent that melody out of heaven and out came the song.
The song “Left Right” is one of those songs that just fell out of the sky. Brandon, my producer and I, we butt heads a little bit of production. We had a little fight the night before, so the tension was in the room and it was the perfect concoction to write this little smash. He came in with the idea “Left Right,” I channeled Roger Miller and Beyonce and out fell the first and the last lines of the chorus, and here kind came the song.
“You’re Gonna Love Me” Woo! That’s my new show opener, and I hope you do love me; so much fun. I wrote it with some buddies of mine, Gordie Sampson, Thomas Archer, Andy Albert. It’s got that Hank stank-face back beat, that Waylon vibe. But then, when you listen to the lyrics, it’s a hell of a lot of fun to sing. And I hope you are gonna love me. Woo!
“Shoes” It’s a song I had to get off my chest. And I wasn’t even planning on releasing it but my team and my friends just kept asking me to play it and because they, it resonated with them and I’m hoping it hits a spot for you to or get you through a fight or a breakup or a kiss and make up. Woo! It’s about all that.
“Girls Call The Shots” Woo! When a song starts with, “Dead end roads don’t go nowhere, but a girl can make a boy go there.” You can’t pass that up. I jumped three feet in the air when I heard it. I’m so grateful to those songwriters for allowing me to cut that song and to make it my own. I can’t wait for you to hear it too. If you haven’t already.

On The Half Record, Dasher channels country legend Lorrie Morgan as well as inspirations like Hank Jr. and Aretha Franklin, adding a fresh spin to the 90s country cassettes of her childhood — topped with a dash of soul and rock n’ roll influences. Billboard commented of Dasher: “There’s a cutting edge to her voice that recalls ’90s Lorrie Morgan records, though Dasher sounds more Southern and uses a tougher instrumental palette.”

The 2021 Fender Next Artist and CMT Next Women of Country artist will perform her first full band show in over a year tonight, Friday, Jul. 9 at Country Concert 2021 in Fort Loramie, OH. She will share the bill with acts like Alan Jackson, Justin Moore and Riley Green. Next week, she’ll make her third appearance on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville. About Hannah Dasher : Raised in Savannah, GA, Hannah Dasher would spend hours reading album covers front-to-back as a child, all while taking cues from a diverse lineup of influences like Alan Jackson, Hank Jr., Tom Petty, Eric Church, and Aretha Franklin. After graduating from University of Georgia, Dasher moved into a small attic apartment just off Music Row in Nashville. To make ends meet, she began working five days a week selling fishing boats and outboard motors at Bass Pro Shops. Dasher was later fired from Bass Pro for writing songs on the job. Soon after, she landed her first publishing deal, and as fate would have it, her first cut, Brad Paisley’s “Go To Bed Early,” was from an idea she’d been working on during her last days employed at Bass Pro. The hustle has clearly paid off for Dasher, who has rocked audiences across the country, opening for greats including her hero Bocephus, The Cadillac Three and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Now with her own music, Dasher solidifies that she is not to be overlooked, with traditional-cut artistry, bold lyrics, and can’t-be-duplicated personality.
