NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris will debut “Chasing After You” Friday (Feb. 12). Fans can pre-save/pre-add the track here.
“Maren and I met writing songs and we’ve sung on each other’s records and written together, but this is the first time we’ve gotten to do an actual duet together,” said Hurd. “It feels like the timing is really perfect and it’s a full circle moment to get to make music together in this way.”
The couple’s first official duet, “Chasing After You” was written by Brinley Addington and Jerry Flowers, and produced by Teddy Reimer and Aaron Eshuis. It follows Hurd’s EOM EP released last year, featuring his celebrated single “Every Other Memory,” which TIME lauded as “a heady hit of mid-tempo nostalgia for the little moments that we would normally take for granted.” With more than 384 million career on-demand streams, Hurd has earned a reputation as “country music’s next big star” (AOL).
Signed to Sony Music Nashville in January 2017, Hurd will release his new single and future recordings on the Arista Nashville imprint, moving from RCA Nashville.
