MIRANDA LAMBERT: Commentary on the “Dark Bars” following release of Lyric Video (Audio)
Miranda Lambert recently released a lyric video for her song, “Dark Bars,” with poignant visuals that resonate during these unprecedented times.
“Darks Bars” is one of my favorite songs on the record, I wrote it with Liz Rose in SoHo. She was coming to New York to write with me and I texted her, “let’s find a dark bar with a story in it,” and she said “I think that is our story.” So we wrote “Dark Bars” and I couldn’t have predicted that it would be so perfect for what we’re going through right now. Just driving here to do interviews I was passing my favorite dive bars and they’re closed. It’s a little heartbreaking, I miss that night life and that lifestyle, even if I’m not performing I miss going to hear live music, so definitely touching.
