“We do a pre-Thanksgiving every year which ensures that my Dad’s side of the family gets together once a year- it’s kinda become like a little family reunion for that side of the family. So this way on actual Thanksgiving everyone can go do their own thing so… Every year it varies when it is. It could be nowhere near Thanksgiving, but it’s called pre-Thanksgiving. (Laughs)”
Geoff Sprung:
“Does the sporting event change? Or is it always the same?”
Brad Tursi:
“Oh! We do have- yeah, there’s a different event all the time. Yeah. Volleyball. Last year it was like a myriad of different events- The egg toss. That kind of stuff. There’s always little games. It’s good times.”
Geoff Sprung:
“My Thanksgiving tradition is to start the Christmas music. I hold out as long as I possibly can… Thanksgiving, full bore time for Christmas music.”
Trevor Rosen:
“That’s a good tradition.”
Matthew Ramsey:
“Yeah. My family on Thanksgiving, it’s a big gathering. Family from everywhere comes to my parent’s house because usually, it’s like 40 people for dinner. You know, my mom’s got like tables in different rooms and she’s got the kitchen- she’s got like a schedule for what everyone is going to cook because they all come and stay for the week. It’s insane. So they all cook the food, but before dinner, we always do like- get in a big circle and it takes a while, but everyone goes around the circle and says what they are thankful for.”
Trevor Rosen:
“Yeah, I grew up in Detroit so part of the Thanksgiving tradition is to watch the Lions and it’s cool because sometimes they actually win.”

“My family always plays football the day after Thanksgiving. I think a lot of families do that and I’m always on a team with my cousin, Evan, against my brother Zach who’s a college athlete and he beat me like 8 years in a row. Finally, the last 2 years got over the hump and defeated him. So, that was a massive moment in my life. I always look forward to Thanksgiving. It’s my favorite holiday of the year.”
