Combs Crosses 1 Billion Career Streams
“I think having the album go platinum, especially my debut album, is a huge deal and it’s definitely an honor. I think it’s just a testament to taking care of the fans and making sure that they’re getting the show that they deserve every night and writing the songs that they deserve to hear. And so it’s been really cool to kind of watch them fall in love with this album as much as we did when we recorded it.”

Nashville, Tenn. – Last night in Nashville, Country singer/songwriter LUKE COMBS struck RIAA Platinum & Gold celebrating 5 certifications for his reigning No. 1 debut album, This One’s For You. Joined by his songwriters, friends, industry guests and his label/management teams, Combs celebrated This One’s For You earning Platinum certification and the project, which is the most streamed Country album of 2018, achieving more than 1 billion streams. Additionally, Combs was surprised with 4 brand new certifications – his debut single “Hurricane” 3x Platinum, “When It Rains It Pours” 2x Platinum, “One Number Away” Platinum, and “Beautiful Crazy”, the red-hot album track that released a short 3 months ago on his deluxe album, is already Gold.
A highlight of the evening for Combs was having the songwriting community that helped craft this album with him present to celebrate. With “Hurricane”, “When It Rains It Pours” and “One Number Away”, the chart-topping hits earned all eight songwriters on the three songs their very first No. 1 hit.
ABC’s “Nightline” joined Combs for an in-depth feature on the story behind his success, the vision he has for his music and his dedication to continue to “give the fans what they want.” Before his debut at Madison Square Garden on Saturday evening, Combs brings viewers to Mercury Lounge, the first venue he performed in New York in January 2017, and to his headlining show at the West Virginia State Fair. Combs continues on the coast-to-coast High Noon Neon Tour with Jason Aldean this weekend with upcoming stops in Nashville, Tenn., Charlotte, N.C., and Irvine, Calif. For more on Luke Combs, visit LukeCombs.com.
