Congrats to Chris Young, his brand new album Losing Sleep is the number-one album in country music this week! This is the second album that he’s co-produced with Corey Crowder, (third if you include Chris’ Christmas album last year), and while Chris is excited about his new project, he thinks he feels the same when any new album comes out, “I don’t think really that I feel any different from record to record about the passion for making music.” Chris explains the musical connection he feels now is no different than what he felt on his previous albums, “I do think there is something that’s really cool that’s happened with producing my stuff with Corey Crowder. It was the same thing that I felt when I first started getting to work with James Stroud, when he made … you know, we made three records in a row right there, that all went Gold…one just went Platinum.” That Platinum album was album Neon. Chris says that working with Corey as co-producers definitely does add a level of satisfaction when the project has the success that I’m Comin’ Over had, and Losing Sleep is having, “it’s an incredible feeling to lock in with someone…and especially when it’s me in that producer chair as well, but to be able to have that relationship with Corey, where we really see eye to eye, and have a vision from the very beginning with where we want to end up with a record, I think there is something to be said about that making it really special…and trying to make the record the right way and enjoy it, and have fun with it, but also put a lot of effort, and a lot of time, and a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it.” The title track from Losing Sleep is working its way up the country music charts, and you can check out the video for it, and learn more about Chris’ 2018 Losing Sleep World Tour at Chris Young Country dot com, or just click HERE
