There are certain moments in Country music that signifies that “you’ve made it”–one of those moments is when an artist is asked to play the Grand Ole Opry. Tuesday night was one of the moments for the band LANCO as they made their Opry debut, and played their song “Greatest Love Story.” Lead singer Brandon Lancaster tried to sum up the band’s feelings before they took the Opry stage Tuesday night, “It’s really pretty hard to describe the emotions of getting to play the Opry for the first time it’s exciting…. when you’re a fan of country music and you grow up knowing about the mother church it really is more surreal then anything.” Personally for Brandon playing the Opry was an extra special moment, “Growing up its funny my dad has always been so proud of everything that I’ve accomplished with the band but he always said, ‘I’ll know you’ve really made it when you play the Opry’ so he was the first person I told whenever we found out we were going to play the Opry and so he’s going to be there, family you know all of our family is going to be there so it’s going to be a really really fun and exciting night.” Of course if the guys have any questions about playing the Opry, they can simple ask the guy they’re going on tour with next year, “We’re going on tour with Chris Young next year who actually just became an opry member which you know we already look up to Chris and think he’s incredible artist and now that he’s an Opry member I mean that’s just such an honor I’m so proud of him. When you become a member of the Opry you really are joining a family of people that have just impacted the country community in such a great way and so you know it’s an obvious dream of any artist to be a member of the Opry and we’re proud to be going on tour with someone who is.” HERETo check out the video for “Greatest Love Story” and tour dates for when they go out on the road with Chris Young, head to LANCO Music dot com, or just click
