Chris Young is having a busy week. First his new album Losing Sleep arrives in stores and online this Friday the 20th. He just announced a huge headlining world tour that kicks off in January with special guests Kane Brown and LANCO. Oh, and Tuesday night he has this little thing…you know, being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry! “Losing Sleep” is not just the title of his latest single and album, it describes his week! Chris couldn’t be happier about everything happening, but heading to the Opry House in Nashville to take the stage as a full member holds a very special place in his heart. Of course friends and family are excited for him, and as Chris explains, he keeps getting the same question from everybody, “Yeah everybody keeps asking me, what’s it gonna be like for you to play the Opry induction, I’m like, ‘I don’t know I’ve never been to the Opry before.’ It’s gonna be an incredible night, just something that I have such a reverence for. I’m so proud and so excited to become a member of that Opry family.” When he was asked to be a member by Vince Gill back in August, Chris’ surprised reaction led him to picking up Vince in a moment of joy…but Chris doesn’t anticipate picking up anyone else on Tuesday night, “(laugh) Yeah, I just…everybody knows that I was surprised because I picked up Vince Gill. That will be forever be the photo that everybody circulates of that night, and you know what? I honestly couldn’t be happier.   Chris Young shares that he keeps getting the same question about his upcoming Opry induction. (:19)
“Yeah everybody keeps asking me, what’s it gonna be like for you to play the Opry induction, I’m like, ‘I don’t know I’ve never been to the Opry before.’ It’s gonna be an incredible night, just something that I have such a reverence for.
