As Maren said, “You know I’m from Texas, I’ve always been kind of spunky and sassy… never really afraid to speak my mind”. This was evident after her post on Twitter, shutting down a couple of negative comments regarding her body image. Maren shares, “I probably shouldn’t be clapping back at twitter trolls but every once and a while I just have to because I know that a lot of girls are fans of mine and looking up to me and also for them to see someone they respect and are a fan of not letting someone body shame you.” Fans and even other artists are showing lots of support.
