Congrats to Kenny Chesney on his second week in the number-one spot with his song “All The Pretty Girls.” This is the second time a song from Kenny’s Cosmic Hallelujah album has made it back to back weeks in the top spot on the song chart. “Setting The World On Fire”–his duet with P!nk, hit number-one in October of 2016, and one year later he’s doing it again. Kenny Chesney fans can enjoy the number-one song as they are getting ready for Live in No Shoes Nation, to arrive later this month on the 27th.
Kenny Chesney talks about his number-one song “All The Pretty Girls” from his album Cosmic Hallelujah. (:32)
“’All The Pretty Girls’ is written about young people, and coming of age and learning about yourself. And there is a certain uncertainty that’s with that. This song is about uncertainty…I mean, even at the end, ‘you know, me, I’m headed south because all the pretty girls said.’ There’s no reason to head south… It’s just because they wanted to go there. It’s summer and we’re gonna go there. There’s no certainty in it whatsoever. I think that if anything changes, if there’s anything that’s constant with this, is that that’s still there (laughter), I don’t think anything changes! In a way, there’s probably more uncertainty the older you get.”
