In the wake of the terrible tragedy at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, Ryan Hurd says that heightened security measures is a fact of life for music artists these days.

“I think sadly it’s in the back of my mind most days that something like this could happen and especially when I’m on the road with Maren, my security sense is heightened, and just naturally and now because of the last six months, it’s becoming more and more apparent that this is something that we have to prepare for… I don’t even how you prepare for it… Security is something that we take so seriously and everybody does in country music and it’s just really hard to… I don’t know I guess, I don’t even know what the next thing is, but it’s not a simple thing.”
