Maren Morris is climbing the song charts with “I Could Use A Love Song”–the third single off her album HERO. She’s playing to tons of fans on the 15 In A 30 tour with Sam Hunt and Chris Janson, she’s won awards, appeared on TV, and is one of the hottest rising stars in country music. But it wasn’t always that way. Maren faced the struggles everyone who tries to make a career in music faces. Maren admits that sold out shows were not always the case when she first started performing live, “Yeah, I definitely remember a few mental breakdowns along the way…like, in a bar, where no one showed up for our show.” Those early obstacles created doubt for her, she often found her self wondering “Can I do this? Am I suppose to be doing this?” Maren says that the turning point in her career was her move from Texas to Tennessee, “Thank God I moved to Nashville and learned so much. I feel like I got so much under my belt with just the writing rooms and the writers that I’ve gotten to work with over the past few years.” It was being in that new environment that allowed Maren to excel, and now that she’s on tour, and her song “I Could Use A Love Song” is a Top 20 hit and climbing, she can look back on the early days of career with pride, “I’m so glad I went through the struggles and the highs and the lows because it makes me so much more appreciative of what’s happening now.” To check out Maren’s tour schedule or to see the video for “I Could Use A Love Song,” head to Maren Morris dot com, or just click HERE

“Yeah, I definitely remember a few mental breakdowns along the way…like, in a bar, where no one showed up for our show. (laugh) And wondering, ‘Can I do this? Am I suppose to be doing this?’ and thank God I moved to Nashville and learned so much. I feel like I got so much under my belt with just the writing rooms and the writers that I’ve gotten to work with over the past few years. I feel like it gave that confidence, and…yeah, looking back I’m so glad I went through the struggles and the highs and the lows because it makes me so much more appreciative of what’s happening now.”
