Luke Combs is one of the hottest rising stars in country music this year. 2017 has been great for Luke, including a number-one song, (“Hurricane”), a number-one album (This One’s For You), being on tour with Brantley Gilbert, and now his latest single “When It Rains It Pours” working it’s way up the charts. Luke is killing it, and he has his parents to thank. Luke says, “I never needed for anything growing up, I was never hungry or cold or anything like that,” but the most valuable the Combs gave to their son was his work ethic. Although, Luke admits, it take him a while to fully appreciate what his parents instilled in him, “a work ethic that I didn’t really find until I started doing music. Being able to do what I love everyday and have that drive and focus towards it, is something that my parents taught me early on, and I think that shows in the music.” Well, he’s using it now! Luke is one of the artists to watch in 2017, and he’s working hard to make his parents proud. Check out Luke Combs music, for tours dates and other events surrounding Luke…or just click HERE
Luke Combs shared one of the most important things that his parents gave him. (:31)
“I never needed for anything growing up, I was never hungry or cold or anything like that. But we definitely didn’t go on a ton of vacations, or have a bunch of money to spend on the new video game systems or whatever. And so my parents really instilled, early on in me, a work ethic that I didn’t really find until I started doing music. Being able to do what I love everyday and have that drive and focus towards it, is something that my parents taught me early on, and I think that shows in the music.”
