When you look at the track list of Luke Combs‘ debut album, This One’s For You, you might find yourself seeing some song titles that sound familiar. Luke’s new single, “When It Rains It Pours,” and the album track “Be Careful What You Wish You” were inspired by sayings that Luke grew up with, “These old southern sayings have always stuck out to me. So me and my buddy Ray (Fulcher) are actually really good at writing those and he is on both of those songs and a lot of the other ones that are colloquialisms I guess, for lack of a better term. I’ve always thought there was something interesting about being able to take a saying that you’ve heard a million times and turn it into something that maybe you didn’t see coming.” “When It Rains It Pours” is the follow up song to Luke’s 2-week number-1 hit “Hurricane” from his recently released number-1 debut album, This One’s For You.
