Chris Young is coming off one of his most successful albums to date with I’m Comin’ Over, and his new single “Losing Sleep” is continuing that trend, as it’s climbing the charts. Chris is putting the final touches, on the new effort with his producing partner Corey Crowder, “What me and Corey did in the studio is a little bit different from the last project but there’s a wide variety of sounds and songs on this record.” As Chris continues to tour throughout the summer months, he incorporates those vibes into his music and shares them with his fans, “There’s summer things that’s kind of a play off of an R&B Groove but it’s got a lot of steel guitar and a lot of electric that play back and forth on a call and response thing.” While not everything sounds exactly like the new fan favorite, “Losing Sleep” Chris is excited to be getting out different sounds on this project, “I don’t know if everything sounds exactly like ‘Losing Sleep’ but we liked that it was a little bit different, that’s why we picked it as the first single.” Fans will definitely be losing sleep listening to the new record, and if you want to see Chris this summer, check out all of his tour dates at Chris Young Country dot com, or just click HERE
Chris Young shares an update on his upcoming album that features his new single “Losing Sleep.” (:53)
“I’m actually finishing up the vocals right now on the back half of the record. The record is pretty much done, ‘Losing Sleep’ is obviously the first single but you know its kind of different if you look at the production style. What me and Corey (Crowder) did in the studio is a little bit different from the last project but there’s a wide variety of sounds and songs on this record. There’s summer things that’s kind of a play off of an R&B Groove but it’s got a lot of steel guitar and a lot of electric that play back and forth on a call and response thing. There’s a really big piano ballad that’s one of my favorite things that I got to sing on the record. You know I think there’s just a lot of different grooves that’s really the basis of each one of these songs while we picked everything that we picked for this project. But they all do marry well together. I don’t know if everything sounds exactly like ‘Losing Sleep’ but we liked that it was a little bit different, that’s why we picked it as the first single.”
