Luke Combs is riding high this week on the news that his debut single “Hurricane” has jumped to the 5 spot on the song charts. Of course Luke believes in the song, but he can’t believe this success on the first song he’s put out. Luke shares “I would have never imagined that was something that would’ve happened, being the debut single and stuff, you always think it’s going to be kind of a slow burn but I think it’s finally paying off here. Top 5, man, is just such a cool feeling.” Of course, he’s not done yet, Luke says “we’ll just see where it goes…see how high it can go.” Plenty of people are getting to see Luke sing “Hurricane” live on The Devil Don’t Sleep tour with Brantley Gilbert. “I don’t know if I would have believed you, obviously I believe in the song, but it’s one of those things you don’t believe until you see it. You know, someone emailed me the chart the other day, and was like ‘hey man, you jumped 5 spots inside the top 10.’ I would have never imagined that was something that would’ve happened, being the debut single and stuff, you always think it’s going to be kind of a slow burn but I think it’s finally paying off here. Top 5, man, is just such a cool feeling, and we’ll just see where it goes…see how high it can go.”
