“Hurricane” singer Luke Combs admits that he is never afraid to ask other artists for help when it comes to his singing. Luke says, “there are so many technical things that you can pick up on that people do and I’m a guy that isn’t afraid to ask questions.” Luke enjoys going to watch other artists sing, and takes notes on anything from phrasing to vocal control, and breath support. “I will definitely say man what do you do when you are about to run out of breath on this thing or what’s your strategy for singing, how do you sing this line without running out of breath or whatever,” Luke said. The advice he is taking is definitely paying off because Luke’s single “Hurricane” is now a top 10 hit! “There’s so many good singers and for so many different reasons anything from phrasing to you know vocal control to breath support. I mean there are so many technical things that you can pick up on that people do and I’m a guy that isn’t afraid to ask questions. I will definitely say man what do you do when you are about to run out of breath on this thing or what’s your strategy for singing, how do you sing this line without running out of breath or whatever. It’s just a cool thing to go see someone you have never seen in concert and try to figure out how they are doing it.”
