Fans might be surprised to hear that Seth Ennis plays every instrument on his new single “Woke Up In Nashville.” Seth plays the guitar, piano and drums–but knowing all those instruments, and playing at a level that he felt confident to tackle all the parts himself, took a lot of hard work. Seth admits that he has to keep practicing to make sure his skill level stays up “you’re not consistently playing you’re going to lose your pocket, lose your feel. So you definitely I think have to keep up with it.” Seth continues to practice, and his song continues to wake up listeners, as “Woke Up In Nashville” works it’s way up the charts.

“I think that you can get worse at an instrument but I think that you can only get better but you can get worse if you let yourself off of it. For instance, with piano when I was a kid I just hated it. So as soon as I got done I was done until like the last couple of years when I picked it back up. I went back and saw this home video of me when I was at a piano recital and I was like tearing up the keys and I was like seven years old. By then I also, especially with drums, when your body starts to grow and you start to mature like physically all the sudden drums are in different spots and you hit them in different ways. So if you’re not consistently playing you’re going to lose your pocket, lose your feel. So you definitely I think have to keep up with it.”
