Following this past weekend’s ACM Awards where they played the official after party, LANCO‘s lead singer Brandon Lancaster has dreams of one day giving his own acceptance speech. Brandon admits “I did always think, ‘man if our band ever wins one of those awards, I’m pretty chatty I don’t know how I’m going to be able to get all the thank yous from your whole life all down to like thirty seconds.’ It’s definitely something I don’t think that as a musician you can watch those award shows and not kind of dream of snagging one one day.” The path to awards gets easier when you have a great song like LANCO does with “Greatest Love Story.”

“I grew up watching CMAs, and ACMs, and CMT, Grammys. I grew up watching every award show and yeah it always seemed so cool. I always took, I loved the performances and all of that but because I was a musician I knew the work that goes into making music happen. And it was always so cool to see artists celebrated for that and to see them accepting their awards. I did always think, ‘man if our band ever wins one of those awards, I’m pretty chatty I don’t know how I’m going to be able to get all the thank yous from your whole life all down to like thirty seconds.’ (the rest of LANCO laughs) It’s definitely something I don’t think that as a musician you can watch those award shows and not kind of dream of snagging one one day.”
