Miranda Lambert set a record Sunday night at the ACM Awards that will be a challenge for any artist to top. Miranda not only won her 8th Female Vocalist Of The Year trophy–but it was her 8th in a row. For Miranda it’s not just about her personal success, but what her success can mean to others “I’m really so thrilled that I can still help lead the charge for women in this business, any level of this business. Singers, songwriters, anybody behind the scenes, managers whatever it is. I am just so thrilled that I can like keep pushing forward and making way for other women to do the same thing.” While she’s appreciating the wins now, Miranda knows that one day she’ll pass the torch, and she’s OK with that “I will be happy as a clam when somebody else’s turn. I really will and I’m just really humbled by it.” Along with winning Album and Female Vocalist at the ACMs on Sunday, Miranda also debuted her brand new single, “Tin Man”–the latest track from her double album The Weight Of These Wings to hit country radio.

“Yeah it’s a record, I think it’s eight. I cannot believe I can say that really to be honest. I’m really so thrilled that I can still help lead the charge for women in this business, any level of this business. Singers, songwriters, anybody behind the scenes, managers whatever it is. I am just so thrilled that I can like keep pushing forward and making way for other women to do the same thing. I will be happy as a clam when somebody else’s turn.
