At this weekend’s ACM Awards, Maren Morris is tied with Miranda Lambert for the most nominations by a female artist with 6, and is just one behind Keith Urban‘s leading 7 nods. Maren’s nominations include; Female Vocalist Of The Year, Album Of The Year (for HERO), and Single Of The Year (for “My Church”)– with double nominations in the Album Of The Year, and Single Of The Year categories as she is not only the artist, but also a producer on the album, and song. One of Maren’s nominations has already turned into a “win” as she was already announced as the ACM New Female Vocalist Of The Year. Maren shared that “Going to the ACM Awards as one of the most nominated artists is definitely crazy because I feel like I am sort of sitting in this class of legendary artists like Miranda and Keith Urban and Carrie (Underwood). So to be nominated for my album that many times it’s so incredible and I feel really humbled.” You can see if Maren wins some additional honors this Sunday on the ACM Awards, when they air live from Las Vegas on CBS TV.

I’ve looked up to these artists my whole life and to be in the ranks of them for this award show, it’s just going to be an amazing night and I can’t wait to perform. I’m just kind of excited to go and sit in the audience and watch the show as a fan.”
