While Luke Combs might be bringing a “Hurricane” to country music, he admits that he enjoys spending his mornings drinking coffee and listening to Willie Nelson on vinyl, “Like I can put that album on and side one is just like the most relaxing and soothing thing I’ve ever heard from front to back. And I will just play that side one and I have done that countless mornings where I just have my coffee.” Luke reveals that his favorite record is Stardust by Willie Nelson, and if he has any mornings available, you can find him sipping coffee and dropping the needle on that album. However, Luke doesn’t have many days off right now and he is currently on tour with Brantley Gilbert. You can also expect to see him at some upcoming music festivals like Tortuga, Bonnaroo and Stagecoach. For Luke’s full tour schedule, visit Luke Combs dot come or click right HERE.
Luke Combs talks about listening to music on vinyl. (:48)
“There is something about dropping the needle man and just sitting around. I mean I don’t get to as much anymore cause a lot of times I am not home in the mornings. But when I was just writing man I would get up and have my coffee and one of my favorite probably my favorite records…it’s hard to say. It’s really hard to say this but it’s probably Stardust by Willie Nelson. Like I can put that album on and like side one is just like the most relaxing and soothing thing I’ve ever heard from front to back. And I will just play that side one and I have done that countless mornings where I just have my coffee. That’s just my twenty minutes for the day. Where it’s just like I don’t think about anything and I just stir up my coffee and check the Twitter feed. And listen to that album man and there is something about that spinning around man that just calms you down.”
