It was announced several weeks ago that Maren Morris had won ACM New Female Vocalist Of The Year, and Sunday night at the 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards show the win was made official. After performing her brand new single “I Could Use A Love Song,” Maren was handed the trophy for New Female Vocalist, and at first Maren was caught off guard by the weight of the trophy “Bicep curls tonight with this? This is heavy.” Then Maren admitted “I don’t know why I’m in shock right now, I knew this was going to happen…but, I’m so grateful, and this year has been the best year of my life.” Maren also took time to thank her fellow ACM nominees for helping her work her way to being the New Female Vocalist “Everyone from Little Big Town, that took me out on the road, two years ago Keith Urban you put me on my first ever tour. Thank you so much for believing in me.”
