Chris Young shared the number-one song in country music last week with Vince Gill when “Sober Saturday Night” topped the charts…but has Chris ever shared a round of golf with Vince…the answer is no. Chris says “I’ve never played golf with Vince,” and he shares why, “I suck.” Chris may sink musical hole in ones, but when it comes to the actual sport of golf, he has no allusions as to his skill level, “I’m very aware, I’m the guy that if I’m in a group of people, I’ll pick the ball up. Like if it gets bad enough I’ll just, ‘It’s alright we’ll just go on to the next hole I’ll be fine.’ I’m that guy.” But he still very much enjoys playing the sport, and admits that most golfers would love to take his place, “I’ve gotten the chance to play like all of these amazing courses all over the US just because if you are an artist and you are playing or if you are a part of a charity event and you are playing like a really really nice course, they’ll be like well we’ll just give you a round of golf if you want to do that. And I’ll always take somebody up on a round of golf.” But while on all those beautiful and famous courses, Chris Young does say that “I may lose more balls than everybody else. It’s fine.”
