Chris Young has a lot of love songs to turn to this Valentine’s day, but he’s hoping that this holiday of love doesn’t have you playing his latest single “Sober Saturday Night.” Chris admits that this may be the saddest sad song ever, “most sad songs would be written as: I’m so sad I just want to go out and drink to forget the end of this relationship or the fact that I don’t have this person anymore. And this one is I’m so sad I don’t even want to do that.” Here’s to hoping that you don’t have a sober Tuesday night!

“I hope that’s not your Valentine’s Day song (laugh) but it’s definitely a sad song. I mean I think we had that idea going in when we wrote it, and it’s really a case of kind of getting the other side of the coin of most sad songs would be written as: I’m so sad I just want to go out and drink to forget the end of this relationship or the fact that I don’t have this person anymore. And this one is I’m so sad I don’t even want to do that. (laugh)”
