LUKE COMBS: First Concert Remembered

audio

Luke Combs is out singing his song “Hurricane” at shows, and for someone that might be their very first concert. With that in mind, Luke reflected on his first concert, and the music from it that still affects him to this day. Luke got to see Vince Gill the first time he went to see live music. Luke is a huge fan of Vince’s and to this day, Luke will still marvel at Vince’s vocal performance of “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Luke says that it’s “one of those songs that I still sit at home and go ‘Man, I wish I could sing that song’ (laugh) I don’t think anyone will ever sing that song near as good as Vince Gill does. I just love that song so much, and it’s just such a classic for me, and something that I grew up on, and still love listening to today.” If you want to make Luke Combs your first, second and hundredth concert, check out where he’s performing by going to Luke Combs dot com, or just click right HERE

“Vince Gill was my first concert ever. Obviously he’s one of the best singers of all time in my opinion, and that’s one of the things that I grew up learning to sing on…was listening to Vince Gill, and how could you not get chills listening to ‘Go Rest High On That Mountain.’ Obviously that song is just one of the most well written songs of all-time. Not to mention he sings it unbelievably. That’s one of those songs that I still sit at home and go ‘Man, I wish I could sing that song’ (laugh) I don’t think anyone will ever sing that song near as good as Vince Gill does. I just love that song so much, and it’s just such a classic for me, and something that I grew up on, and still love listening to today.”
