Old Dominion is not only celebrating the number-one song in the country with “Song For Another Time,” but they are also celebrating the number-two song of the year with “Snapback.” According to the 2016 year-end Billboard country airplay chart, “Snapback” was the second most played song this year behind Jon Pardi‘s “Head Over Boots.” It’s not hard for the guys to believe that “Snapback” was the second most played song of the year–and that’s just on radio. Trevor Rosen of Old Dominion remembers when they guys decided to take in a baseball game this past season, and they realized that their song was being played over the ballparks PA system, Trevor reaction was to say “oh, that’s weird.” But as Old Dominion lead singer Matthew Ramsey points out, they did play the whole song.
Trevor Rosen of Old Dominion recalls a trip to the ballpark that included a surprise appearance by their song “Snapback.” (:14)
Trevor: “We had that moment a couple months ago when we were at a baseball game and then you know, ‘Snapback’ came on. They were playing ‘Snapback’ at the baseball game in the stadium. And I was like ‘oh, that’s weird.’ (laugh)
Matthew: “They played like the whole song.”
Trevor: “Yeah.”
