Kenny Chesney changed up the process on making his latest album, Cosmic Hallelujah. Kenny made it while spending time on the West Coast in California, which led to some different morning rituals while recording the songs on the album. Kenny says that he spent a lot of time on the beach…including some morning paddle board sessions in freezing water. But in the end, Kenny says that the change of location for recording was a really “great way to open up the creative process for me.”

“As I was out there in Southern California, I would go to the studio every now and then, it was just a great way to make music. I think that I was able to spend a lot of time…you know, in the mornings, I would go and spend a lot of time on the beach. I would paddle board even though the water was freezing. It was a great way to open up the creative process for me, it was just a different energy.”
