Kenny Chesney will receive the Pinnacle Award during the 50th annual CMA Awards Wednesday night. The very special honor recognizes an artist who has achieved global prominence through concert performances, and record sales at levels unique in country music. Kenny, who is a four time CMA Entertainer Of The Year winner, is honored by the award. Kenny admits though that at this stage in his career, it’s his connection with his fans that is his true reward. You can see Kenny accept the Pinnacle Award this Wednesday, November 2nd, when the CMAs air live from Nashville Tennessee on ABC Television.

“I think everybody wants to be nominated, and be recognize, but I’m not gonna say they’re not important because they’ve been a big important part of my life, they have, but I think I’m at the point now in my life, and career, if I win an award great, if I don’t I just want to connect with my audience, and grow it, and whatever comes, comes. But it doesn’t mean I’m not competitive, cause I am, but I’m competitive in ways that I think that…I constantly think about how to make my live experience better. I’m competitive in that way.”
