The main goal of any singer or songwriter is to create a song so catchy that it gets stuck in your head and won’t get out. That’s what Brandon Lancaster of LANco believes the guys achieved with their single “Long Live Tonight.” Brandon, who co-wrote the song, shares a songwriting tip that “When you’re writing a song you want to create that hook, you want to create that melody that gets in people’s head…that gets in your head!” And that’s just what “Long Live Tonight” does for them–he does admit though that “The cool thing is…it can stuck in our heads, and we actually get to sing it every night.” To find out where you can go see LANco to get “Long Live Tonight” stuck in your head, go to LANco Music dot com, or just click right HERE
Brandon from LANco talks about writing the band’s single “Long Live Tonight.” (:38)
“When you’re writing a song you want to create that hook, you want to create that melody that gets in people’s head…that gets in your head! I mean, that’s one thing when I’m writing a song, I may get halfway through a song, and take a break and not finish it and unless I’m walking around that rest of that day kind of singing that melody–that’s a little songwriters trick for ya! But that was one of of those songs, ‘Long Live Tonight,’ when I was writing it with Jason Reeves, you know it was right off the bat, it was kind of a hooky melody, and we might move on to another idea, but that ‘Long Live Tonight,’ that melody was getting stuck in our heads. It’s just a fun song! It gets stuck in people’s heads, it gets stuck in our heads, and we love singing it. The cool thing is…it can stuck in our heads, and we actually get to sing it every night.”
