Kenny Chesney wrapped up his Spread The Love tour, but he’s got one last major show this year coming up on Friday in Bristol, Tennessee at the legendary Bristol Motor Speedway. Kenny says that the thing that gets him excited to play shows, whether it’s his own tour, and shows like the one on Friday, is the fans. The fans bring their “A” game, and that reminds Kenny that he has an important responsibility to do his best, which creates a special connection with the crowd at the show. Of course, Kenny’s fans take being a “Kenny Chesney fan” as a serious job…Kenny jokes that he’s seen some crazy stuff at his shows, including a fan who once brought a boat…as a cooler. The No Shoes Nation does not mess around when it comes to chilling down their beverages.
Kenny Chesney talks about his fans that come to his shows. (:44)
“It’s unbelievable to see the passion that people have for havin’ a good time out there with us. It is unbeliev…I mean, I’ve seen it all. I’ve seen people bring boats and use ’em as coolers. I’ve seen so many crazy things that it just, I tell ya, for me to go out there and do that, it reminds me of why we’re there. It reminds me that, no matter what’s goin’ on in your life, these people got a lot goin’ on in their life, too. And for a couple hours later on that night, we get to have a shared moment — and we’re gonna make that shared moment the best we can make it. And that’s the kind of mind-frame that puts me in. It allows me to realize the job that I gotta do at twenty minutes after nine o’clock.”
