The third single from Old Dominion‘s album Meat and Candy is climbing the charts, but the guys knew from the first time they played it, that “Song For Another Time” was going to be a fan favorite. Trevor, from Old Dominion, recalls that the first time they played it for a crowd, they hadn’t even recorded it for their album yet. He remembers even setting it up by saying “‘it sounded pretty good in sound check. This is a new song we’re thinking about recording, we’re gonna try it out tonight.” Trevor also remembers the crowd going crazy for it before the song even ended. That gave the guys a good indication that they were on to something.

TREVOR: “The first time we ever played it out, we were like ‘it sounded pretty good in sound check. This is a new song we’re thinking about recording, we’re gonna try it out tonight.’ And it was like, we hit the end of the first chorus, and the whole crowd went crazy and cheered, and we were like ‘Oh, OK.'” (laugh)
MATTHEW: “Yeah, yeah, they like this one”
