Maren Morris doesn’t own a 80s Mercedes yet, but she does hope that “Maybe in the future I’ll have one, just like fun weekend car.” Even without owning one, that didn’t stop her from writing her latest single with using the classic car as inspiration. Maren shares that “the title fell out of a conversation, and it was just this girl I was talking to, she was talking about this guy that she was dating and he wasn’t that cool but his car was, and it was this 80s Mercedes.” With that Maren remembered to file that title away for the next songwriting session she was in.
