Brandon from LANco says that the band’s songs are rooted in country music, but achieve their own sound. All the guys in LANco bring their own musical influences into the creative mix, but they don’t try to mimic the music they love, they create a new sound which adds a new layer to the story of country music. Brandon says that the “exciting thing about creating music…and creating country music in general is that your influenced by all these different artists but you don’t want to be them…that’s boring. You wouldn’t stand a chance of you sounded just like the artists you were influenced by and so that’s exciting for us as artists and as a band, and as creators is creating our version country music.” Fans are already loving LANco’s “version of country music” as their first single “Long Live Tonight” is becoming a summer anthem for the people that come to their shows and hear it on the radio.
Brandon from LANco talks about creating their own country music sound. (:54)
“We all grew up listening to all different kinds of music. We grew up in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia–so you’re surrounded by country music. When you’re growing up you listen all kinds of music and have all different kinds of influences and all those influences find their way into our music with the foundation being country. So it’s exciting for us to be out in the country format because we know that we’re bringing a different kind of sound because we have different kinds of influences the maybe a lot of artists before us. That’s exciting thing about creating music…and creating country music in general is that your influenced by all these different artists but you don’t want to be them…that’s boring. You wouldn’t stand a chance of you sounded just like the artists you were influenced by and so that’s exciting for us as artists and as a band, and as creators is creating our version country music.”
