While any and all nominations are special, Chris Young really appreciates his ACM nods for Album of the Year for I’m Comin’ Over, and Single of the Year, for the album’s title track. The categories not only acknowledges him as an artist, but as a producer as well. This is important to Chris, as I’m Comin’ Over was the first time he took over the role of producer on one of his projects, and to have this honor confirms that he made the right decision. You can see if Chris Young wins as artist, and producer, when the 51st Academy Of Country Music Awards, broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, on Sunday, April 3 on the CBS Television Network.
Chris Young explains why his ACM Album of the Year nomination is so important to him. (:22)
“It’s really special having it be the first thing that I’ve taken the reins as a producer on, and having it be nominated in that category. Everybody’s just pumped right now and it just seems like there’s almost this intangible thing going on with all the shows selling out and just the passion that people seem to have for this new music, and it’s just pretty crazy right now, and it’s a really really good time.”
