2016 has been a busy year so far for Maren Morris, and it’s about to get crazier. As Maren heads from the C2C festival in London to her home-state of Texas for the South By Southwest festival this week, news breaks that her first major label debut album will come out on June 3. Hero, will feature Maren’s break-through hit “My Church,” along with 10 other tracks. The album will arrive in fans’ hands the week she kicks off her opening spot on Keith Urban‘s RipCORD World Tour. Maren’s hectic schedule keeps her busy, but she’s taking steps to try and capture all the memories for later. She’s been keeping a journal that includes, all the “inane” things, so she’s able to look back and not take anything for granted.
Maren Morris shares what she’s doing to remember these days of her career. (:26)
“I think the most important thing is just feeling present. I’ve started journaling a lot, just to remember what has happened every day because it’s all happening at once, so you have to have some totem of normalcy. So, I’ve started writing things down…just even if they seem inane in the moment, I want to be able to look back and really remember everything that happened to me, and not take it for granted.”
