Chase Rice is heading down under! This weekend, Chase is going to take part in the CMC Rocks Queensland Festival–which is Australia’s biggest international country and roots festival. Recent trips to Hawaii and then Japan, started a journey this winter that Chase would have never believed his music, like his new single “Whisper,” could take him on. Chase admits that if you told him all this would happen when he moved to Nashville 5 years ago…he probably would slapped you. But right now, he’s just enjoying the ride.

“If I could look back when I first moved to Nashville, and someone taps me on the shoulder and says ‘You know, 5 years from now your music is going to take you Japan and Australia,’ I’d look at’em and slap them in the face, and say ‘Don’t get my hopes up like that.’ That’s how crazy my career has been, and how fast my career’s been, and I don’t take it lightly. I understand how blessed I am to do music for a living, and to take it overseas–that’s something I never thought would happen. So I’m going to keep riding the train and enjoy it, while I’m on it.”
