We’re about a month out from the ACM Awards, where Chris Young is hoping to bring home the Album Of The Year for I’m Comin’ Over, and Single Record Of The Year for the album’s title track “I’m Comin’ Over.” Chris has a total of four nominations at this year’s ACMs, as he is not only the artist, but also the producer, for both the album, and song.

  Right from the start, Chris Young knew there was something different about his ACM nominated album I’m Comin’ Over, and he admits that his excitement for the project led him to the verge of being “giddy.”
“I think I’ve been excited about every record I’ve ever done. I just know that with this record, no one has to wind me up to get excited about talkin’ about it. I don’t need any incentive. I’m just so, so pumped about what we did in the studio and for people to hear it that, yeah, man, I’m a little giddy. I’ll take that.” (:24)

“You know, it’s not somethin’ that’s really like a deep, hidden meaning. It’s just that kind of raw passion, that knee-jerk emotional response to really bein’ in a place in a relationship where it’s not over, the relationship isn’t over, and it’s not still goin’ on. It’s somewhere in that middle ground of, you know, we’ve said goodbye before but we keep comin’ back together, and right now, it’s just like that action of being with that person is just so much easier than tryin’ to start over with somebody new.”
