Chris Young sings “I’m Comin’ Over” on his newest hit, and he’s actually come a long way over, taking his world tour overseas for the second time this year. In March, Chris played Australia, South Korea, and Japan, and this month’s nine sold-out shows span Switzerland, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and Sweden. And one thing that Chris has learned is that there are fans who know and love his music everywhere he goes. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

• After playing Switzerland on September 11th and 12th, Chris was in England on the 14th, Scotland on the 16th, and Ireland on the 17th, with shows in Germany on the 19th, 20th, and 22nd, before wrapping this overseas run with a show in Sweden on September 24th.
• In a press release this past Tuesday, Chris remarked, “This is my third year of touring overseas and the audiences blow me away every time. That being said, the sold out crowd at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London last night was absolutely one of the best crowds I’ve ever played for! They packed the house and sang along and just have this love for country music – it’s mind-blowing!”

“Brad Paisley warned me a long time ago, he goes, ‘Man, they will find songs; they will gravitate to whatever they naturally want.’ And he goes, ‘I had like an acoustic part in my show,’ and he goes, ‘I would ask the crowd what they wanted to hear.’ He goes, ‘We got over to Europe, they started askin’ for stuff off, like, my first record that was an album cut — it was like, track seven — and I was like, “Oh, man, I wrote that, and I don’t even remember it.”‘ And, it’s totally true.”

“I think the overseas crowd is great because they don’t really have like a country radio station. It’s just, they have a station that plays everything that’s popular, and for them to go out and really find American country music, they get online.”

“It was really weird standin’ on a stage in Australia in front of 10,000 people. It’s unbelievable that I have the chance to do that off of, you know, makin’ records in a studio in Nashville.”
