Tyler Farr took a fall during a recent performance in Virginia — and we’re glad to say that although Tyler is bruised, he’s okay, and we caught up with him this week as he gave us the lowdown on the fall. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

“They got a music entertaining show, and they got a comedy act, too, which was me. Coincidentally, during the encore, we do a Foo Fighters medley. I was at the part singing, ‘There goes my hero, watch him as he goes.’ And I went. Off the stage into the subwoofer, and a corner of it hit me in the thigh. So, it was…hell, it was funny. I mean, I even think it’s funny. I’ve watched the video and laughed.”

“I told people to put it on YouTube. I just owned it. When you fall like that, you know, there’s no playin’ that off or walkin’ it off. I mean, there’s…you just can’t. So, you just have to own it.”

“It actually happened so quick: I hit it, and the pain, it was there. If you go to YouTube and watch it, you can see, I didn’t miss a note or a word, but you can see the pain and the anguish in my face while I’m singing (laughs), which I think the fans understood, and they’re probably wonderin’, ‘How in the hell is he even singing?’ (laughs) Because it looks like I almost hit my face, but I just bruised a rib and (laughs) about a 12-by-12 inch bruise on my thigh.”

“When I hit, it kinda knocked the wind out of me first, ’cause if you see it, I hit my stomach, but I didn’t have time to really react, I just kept singin’. And then as the song ends, you’ll see me getting back on the subwoofer, conquering the mountain of sub, and getting on there and bending over (laughs) in sheer pain, so, it kicked in after the song was over, ’cause by God, I was gonna finish the song.”

“I’m obviously gonna show Jason [Aldean] ’cause I know he’s gonna get a kick out of it, and you know, and for the fans, you know, my pain’s their pleasure. Sometimes you gotta bust your butt to, you know, whatever makes ’em happy and laugh. Well, I was gonna show Jason, and they have got it pulled up on the big screen and had already watched it. Like, it was their 12th time in a row watching it. And they’re pausing it, and they’re all laughin’, and right when I walk in, I’m like, ‘Hey, have y’all seen this?’ They’re like, just started laughin’, and that’s what friends do is make fun of each other. So, I’m glad Aldean got a kick out of it, and I’m glad…you’re welcome, America, for my painful moment of falling.”
