It was Miranda Lambert’s night at Sunday’s 50th Academy of Country Music Awards! Miranda was the evening’s top winner, taking home four awards, in addition to the previously announced ACM 50th Anniversary Milestone Award as the ACM’s Most Awarded Solo Female Artist. And now, Miranda has added to her “most awarded” distinction, winning Album of the Year for Platinum and scoring a double win in Song of the Year as artist and co-writer of her song, “Automatic.” Miranda also won Female Vocalist of the Year for a sixth year in a row, extending her all-time ACM record for the most consecutive wins in that category. And Miranda also performed on the show, singing a medley of “Mama’s Broken Heart” and her new hit, “Little Red Wagon.” What a night! Congratulations, Miranda!!
- And on top of everything else, this past week, the ACM surprised Miranda with a presentation officially recognizing that she had set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the “Most consecutive wins as ACM Female Vocalist of the Year.” Pretty cool!
- Did you know…? Each of Miranda’s last three albums has won ACM Album of the Year, and Platinum now makes it four!
