ACM Male Vocalist of the Year nominee Brad Paisley is out now with the fun of his new hit, “Crushin’ It.” It’s the third big single from Brad’s Moonshine in the Trunk album, which includes a lot of great music — and if you listen to one song in particular called “High Life,” you’ll hear a familiar voice chime in. It’s Brad’s pal, Carrie Underwood, who, Brad admits, has been known to greet his song collaboration ideas with the occasional apprehensive silence! (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- Along with “High Life” and “Crushin’ It,” Brad’s Moonshine in the Trunk album also includes his recent hits “River Bank” and “Perfect Storm.”
- In this story from the Prep Site archives, Brad and Carrie remember the phone call when Brad pitched Carrie on the idea-in-progress that became their smash single, “Remind Me.”
Brad Paisley says that Carrie Underwood trusts his musical ideas…even if they sometimes give her pause! (:28)
“Oh, every time! Every time! This time included. It usually ends with her…with me getting what I want, which is her actually singin’ on it anyway. (laughs) But yeah, I think she probably always starts out with a little bit of ‘he’s got to be crazy,’ because I am, but I also think that she has gotten to the point where she’s like, ‘All right. Well, he’s probably crazy, and I’ve thought that every time, and okay, I’m gonna trust that it’ll turn out okay ’cause last time did.’ And that’s a good place to be for us.”
