Garth Brooks talks about the song that launched his career. (:36)
“‘Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)’ is gonna be what it always was: it was a tribute to Chris LeDoux, a nod to the workin’ men and women in the cowboy hats that supported us and continue to support us. And because of ‘Much Too Young,’ I will always have at least one cowboy or cowgirl tune on records, simply because I owe my career to them and love them to death and support them fully. So, you know, it’s a classy character, the cowboy or the modern-day cowgirl, and I love that. Same as military. I just love manners, and I just love people that are out to do the right thing.”
